The City Administration offices include the City Manager's office and the Office of the Mayor. The Mayor, as the Chief Executive officer for the City of New Ulm, conducts official mayoral business from City Hall. The daily affairs of the City of New Ulm and New Ulm Public Utilities Commission are administered through the office of the City Manager. Administration functions include:

  • Assists the public by responding to a wide variety of inquiries
  • Coordinates City and Public Utilities activities involving civic organizations and other government agencies on a wide variety of community issues and projects
  • Coordinates applications for Parade Permits and Parklets for approval
  • Coordinates the personnel management system for all City and Public Utilities departments
  • Prepares the annual City budget and meeting agendas for City Council and Public Utilities meetings
  • Processes all requisitions and purchase orders for supplies, materials, and equipment required for City and Public Utility operations
  • Provides direction for all City and Public Utilities operations on a day-to-day basis
  • Provides staff support to the City Council, Public Utilities, and City boards and commissions
