New Ulm Public Utilities (NUPU) offers funds for residential customers looking for an energy audit for their home. Residential customers interested in an energy audit for their home should contact Derek Nelson-Energy Services Representative at 57-233-2110 ext. 401 or email DerekN@newulmn.gov.
The cost of a home energy audit for NUPU customers is free. The cost to conduct the audit is paid for by NUPU through their CIP (Conservation Improvement Program).
Major components of the audit include a blower door test, infrared camera inspection, insulation inspection, and other actions.
Limited funds are available yearly.
