Give & Grow Program
We recognize the enormous value of direct community support and are very fortunate to have community members give time, money, property, and individual expertise to help ensure our system continues to thrive and improve the quality of life for New Ulm residents and visitors. We have established guidelines for several types of opportunities to donate. Individuals, families, businesses, groups, and associations may contact our department to discuss ideas and locations for donations. Final location placement is dependent on department needs and planning processes already underway.
Donations to the City of New Ulm Park and Recreation may be tax deductible. (Please consult your tax advisor.)
Donations will be accepted in the following categories:
- Living Legacy tree donations: Living memorial donations accepted in the form of tree plantings in city parks.
- Stewardship bench donations : Memorial or Donated benches will be considered within the city park system.
- General donations: Donations for general park and recreation purposes are accepted and encouraged.
- Statues, Shelters, Fountains, Plazas, Gardens, Playgrounds, etc.: The Department will determine placement of such donations.
- Park/Facility Naming Rights Opportunities: Naming of a park/facility as a donation, sponsorship, or memorial may be submitted under the City of New Ulm Park/Facility Naming Policy.
