Is there reimbursement money for diseased trees?

Yes, there is reimbursement money for boulevard and private yard diseased trees.

Boulevard trees have a reimbursement of half the cost of removal up to a maximum reimbursement of $75.00 per diseased tree.  Private yard trees have a reimbursement of one-third the cost of removal up to a maximum reimbursement of $50.00 per diseased tree. (see note)

NOTE:

  • Reimbursements for boulevard trees is limited to three trees per property per calendar year unless the property has multiple street frontages (corner houses), in which case the limit of reimbursement will be six trees per calendar year.
  • Reimbursement for private yard trees is limited to three trees per property per calendar year.
  • The city requires a contractors billing invoice to give a reimbursement. The city will not reimburse for trees where the property owner removes the tree(s) themselves or does not have a billing invoice.
