Digital Speed Display

In 2017, the New Ulm Police Department, in tandem with a grant writer at the Brown County Public Health Department applied for and received a State Health Improvement Partnership (SHIP) grant for purchasing a Traffic Logix RADAR sign. The Traffic Logix RADAR sign is available for use by any Brown County Law Enforcement agency but is under the custody and care of the New Ulm Police Department.

The Traffic Logix RADAR sign is able to display accurate speed readings of on-coming vehicles. In addition to the speed display function, the sign also collects traffic data, such as the number of vehicles by the hour in a twenty-four-hour period, how fast the vehicles were traveling, and other data. The speed sign does not photograph speeding vehicles.
