Information Technology

The Information Technology department is responsible for processing activities for the City and the New Ulm Public Utilities including programming, computer operations, and data control. Their functions include:

  • Assists City and Public Utilities departments in problem analysis and develops or modifies programs for effective solutions
  • Develops and maintains computer programs to provide comprehensive information in various areas including financial accounting, utility billing, employee payroll and benefit programs, accounts payable and inventory
  • Provides support and technical assistance to City and Public Utilities departments relating to the use of computer applications including a personal-computer network
